Welcome to the Willow Alternative Education Campus website. We are very excited to kick off the 2016-17 school year on August 23rd. I am honored and thrilled that to lead this school and be part of this extraordinary community. Most importantly, I am excited to have the opportunity to serve as a role model/mentor to our students and have a positive impact their lives.

Willow High School offers a variety of educational programs designed to meet the needs of our students.
• The Willow Continuation High School program is for 11th and 12th grade students with an emphasis on credit recovery and graduation from Willow High School (190 credits).
• The Willow Intervention program is designed for 9th and 10th grade students with an emphasis on preparing them to return to and graduate from John Swett High School (220 credits).
• The Community Based Instruction program prepares special needs students ages 18-22 life skills and experiences that prepares them for the real world by living independently and becoming productive members of our community.
• The Independent Study/Home Hospital program is a voluntary program. In Independent Study, the student assumes the primary responsibility for his/her education. Students accepted into Independent Study are required to meet with the assigned teacher for a minimum of one hour per week. All students are on an individualized contract stipulating the academic work that is expected for each semester..

I have spent the past 20 years working in a variety of educational settings gaining teaching and leadership experience in K-12 education. I currently live close by in Martinez with my wife, Tamee and my 13 year old identical twin boys, Jake and Luke. I believe my vast educational and life experiences have prepared me to take Willow High School to the next level by bringing a caring and supportive approach to help students become successful in the 21st century world.

I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to Willow High School and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success. I am looking forward to meeting all of the students to find out what motivates them to succeed.

I feel that my responsibility as the Principal is to make sure all students know that we care, will challenge them, and that they receive a quality education within a safe, respectful environment. The entire staff at Willow Alternative Education Campus shares this same passion.
I am a firm believer in the home/school/community connection. Please feel free to contact me with any questions, concerns, or just to introduce yourself. As Principal, my door is always open and I welcome your input. Working together only enhances your child’s educational experiences.
